Contributions to Funds

Under 65 years All contributions (both employer and member) are accepted up to relevant contribution caps.
65 years to 69 years Concessional employer and member contributions are subject to work test restrictions. I.e. the member must have been gainfully employed on a part-time basis during a financial year (must have worked at least 40 hours in a period of not more than 30 consecutive days in that financial year).

Non concessional member contributions can be accepted up to relevant contribution caps (please refer to ATO website for the current thresholds).

70 years to 75 years Concessional employer and member contributions are subject to work test restrictions.

Concessional contributions must be received by the Superannuation Fund on or before the day that is 28 days after the end of the month in which the member turns 75.

Non concessional member contributions can be accepted up to $100,000 per year (cannot bring forward three years of contribution caps).

75 years and over Mandated employer contributions are the only support that a regulated fund may receive for a person aged 75 or over.
